Problem : How do I repair WinRM?
I have a Windows Server 2008 Standard box with Exchange 2010 on it. Exchange 2010 can’t connect to itself via WinRM and reports errors.
I need to figure out how to repair or reinstall WinRM.
When I run winrm quickconfig I get the following error:

cified. Check if the machine name is valid and is reachable over the network and
firewall exception for Windows Remote Management service is enabled.

I have also ensured the ports were opened in the Windows Firewall properly and that Group Policy wasn’t controlling any Remote Management.
I am stumped. One day it was working fine and the next it was not. No changes were made that I know of.

Solution: How do I repair WinRM?
I figured it out! My AVG antivirus was blocking WinRM and the Management service from actually running even though the services were started and no errors in the event log.
