Resident Evil: Death Island leaked release date

Ahead of the Resident Evil: Death Island reveal tomorrow, a new poster has apparently leaked, revealing the game’s release date.

The release date for Resident Evil: Death Island may have been leaked

There appears to be a Resident Evil: Death Island poster making the rounds on Twitter, and if it’s legit, the CGI Resi movie will open in theaters on July 7th. At least, that’s when it comes out in Japan; other countries may or may not follow suit.

The poster also confirms that all of the major Resident Evil characters will be teaming up in the film. Leon Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, and Rebecca Chambers are among those involved. The poster’s slogan translates as “the worst mission, the strongest team.”

Although the characters have appeared in other video games, this is the first property to bring them together. The title “Death Island” isn’t something we’re particularly fond of, but we’re definitely looking forward to feasting our eyes on it.

Netflix’s Resident Evil series was canceled, and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City has yet to receive a sequel, so this could be fans’ only chance – for the time being – to see a new Resident Evil movie.

That is, of course, assuming the poster is legit; it could be an elaborate hoax by an enthusiastic fan. The truth will be revealed tomorrow.
