Unlocking New Recipes with Augmentations
The most common way to expand your crafting repertoire is by using Augmentations. These special items grant your Workbench the ability to build new recipes. Here’s how to use them:
- In your base, open the building menu.
- Go to the “Augmentations” section.
- Look for the Tools icon (signifying Workbench Augments). Only Augments with this icon will unlock new recipes.
- Browse the recipes listed under the Tools icon and choose the Augment you want to build. Remember, Workbenches have limited Augment slots.
- Build the Augment and place it near your Workbench. A dotted line will guide you during placement.
Once built, the Augment unlocks new craftable items on your Workbench. Don’t forget, you’ll still need to acquire the recipes themselves from Essence Traders or by exploring new realms.
Upgrading to Refined and Excellent Workbenches
For a significant boost in crafting capabilities, you’ll need to upgrade your Workbench to a higher tier. Here’s where to find the recipes for these advanced Workbenches:
- Refined Workbench: Purchase the recipe from the Essence Trader in Provisioner Realms. This workbench requires Carved Wood, Mechanical Gears, and Lumber for construction.
- Excellent Workbench: Venture into Ascended Realms and buy the recipe from the Essence Trader there.
Remember: Higher-tier Workbenches come with improved default recipes, allowing you to craft better tools from the start without needing additional Augmentations.
