MW2 ranked play
Ranked mode is a 4v4 multiplayer mode in Modern Warfare 2 that you can play once you reach level 16. Once you get into the mode, all of the weapons and attachments are automatically unlocked.
Each Ranked Play match, like the Call of Duty League, will take place on a map and mode from the list below:
Hardpoint
- Al Bagra Fortress
- Breenbergh Hotel
- Embassy
- Mercado Las Almas
- Zarqwa Hydroelectric
Search & Destroy
- Al Bagra Fortress
- Breenbergh Hotel
- El Asilo
- Embassy
- Mercado Las Almas
Control
- Al Bagra Fortress
- Breenbergh Hotel
- El Asilo
New ranked mode has eight skill divisions. From lowest to highest: bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond, crimson, iridescent, and top 250. Each skill division below iridescent has three tiers. The top 250 division, as the name implies, consists of the top 250 players with more than 10000 SR.
When creating squads in ranked mode, you must follow certain rules. Players from bronze to platinum can team up with anyone, but diamond and crimson-ranked players can only team up with players from the same skill division. Iridescent and top 250 players can only form parties with other players from the same skill division.
Your SR score is determined by your wins and losses during the season: winning matches increases your SR, while losing matches decreases it. There are some exceptions: you will not lose SR if a teammate quits or disconnects during a match, but you can still earn SR if your team wins anyway.
Separate from skill divisions, there are 50 ranks to advance through, each with its own set of rewards for reaching specific milestones. You’ll also receive rewards at the end of the season based on the highest skill division you played in that season.
