Problem : Task ‘Microsoft Exchange Server’ reported error (0x80040115) : ‘The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable.  Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.’

Solution: Task ‘Microsoft Exchange Server’ reported error (0x80040115) : ‘The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable.  Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.’

Reinstalling Outlook does not fix these problems. If the issue does not follow the user to another machine, then I only know of three resolutions

– new Outlook profile
– new Windows profile
– wipe the machine.

Verify with another user whether the problem continues across all Windows profiles. If it does then the machine will have to be wiped. Nothing else fixes Outlook issues.
