Remote Web Access can end up giving a user unrestricted access to Windows Home Server 2011. In this post I will tell you how to manage Remote Web Access for certain users to make sure that a novice user does not mess up the Home Server.
This can be done by going to the users Properties from the Dashboard and selecting an access level in Remote Web Access tab. From here, you can choose the resources which you would like to restrict for the user by unchecking the relevant check boxes. These include, Shared Folders, Computers (on the Home Server), Media, Homepage Links and Server Dashboard. You can also select “Do not allow Remote Web Access) to make sure that the user cannot access the Home server remotely.
