Step 2: In the next step you will be asked to enter your Microsoft account credentials to proceed further.
Step 3: If you already have a Skype account you can login with it using the I have a Skype account option or select the I’M New to Skype option.
Step 4: After you have selected a Skype account or chosen the alternative option, you can proceed with logging in. In case you wish to use a Skype account you will be provided with an option to merge your Microsoft Account with Skype (as shown in the image below). Click Continue to merge both accounts. This will merge contacts from your Windows Live Messenger and add them to your selected Skype account.
That’s all you need to do to merge your Skype and Microsoft accounts or to login with a Microsoft I.D. to use Skype. As you can see from the below screenshot, both accounts have been merged and the people added to each account can now be managed using Skype. As many users might be aware, you can also connect your Facebook account to Skype by logging in your Facebook I.D.
