Problem : Event ID: 4625 – The EventSystem sub system is suppressing duplicate event log entries

How do I fix ” The EventSystem sub system is suppressing duplicate event log entries for a duration of 86400 seconds.  The suppression timeout can be controlled by a REG_DWORD value named SuppressDuplicateDuration under the following registry key: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\EventSystem\EventLog.”

As it’s an information message and if you don’t experience any problem I would simply ignore it.

That’s the only useful information I found about it. I would check the events just before this message, check if new drivers and firmware is available.

To check if this message is related to hardware, you can disable all unnecessary components in the device manager, e.g. network card, sound card etc. reboot and check if the error appear again or not. If not, enable the disabled components one by one again. That may help to pinpoint where this message comes from…
